Privacy Statement

Participation in this study is voluntary. You may refuse to participate, refuse to answer any questions or withdraw at any time with no effect on your academic status. Completion of the survey indicates your consent to participate. There are no known risks to participating. Data collected will only be available to York administration and will be disposed of according to York’s policy for record retention.

Your answers will be kept confidential to the fullest extent possible by law and, once the data are returned to York by the organization running the study, all personal identifying information such as your name and email address will be removed before any analyses are done. York may, however, link your responses to your administrative records such as your faculty or course selection. Data will be stored securely in the Office of Institutional Planning & Analysis for seven years. After this period the data will be de-identified and archived in the Office of Institutional Planning & Analysis.
